Vienna Opera Academy

With the Vienna Opera Academy, the Vienna Festival offers a program designed to help young singers, conductors and pianists with the difficult transition from academic to professional practice. Singers receive coaching in voice, music, body movement, career advice, diction and gain important stage experience.

Opera performances and concerts take place in the Mozarthaus, Palais Palffy and the Vienna Boys’ Choir House, one of the most beautiful theaters in the heart of Vienna. MuTh is the name of their new concert hall in the Augarten, which opened in 2012.

The name MuTh is an abbreviation for “Music and Theater” and is considered the most modern concert hall in Vienna. – A stage that offers the 400 spectators a magnificent view and gives the actors almost as much space as the Vienna State Opera.
